How to split five days between the city, the old souks and an evening in the dunes, without rushing.
Dubai rewards a simple plan: one day for the modern city around Downtown and the Burj Khalifa, one for the older side of Deira with its gold and spice souks, and one evening for the desert.
The most comfortable months are November to March. Summer days are very hot, so outdoor sightseeing moves to early mornings and evenings.
Keep one day unplanned. The Marina, the beaches of Jumeirah and the malls are easy to enjoy at your own pace.
